Oxford City Council is using a harmful chemical in the parks and pavements of our city, putting nature and human health at risk.
Glyphosate – sometimes known by its brand name Roundup – is the world’s most commonly used weedkiller. Yet more and more evidence is proving that glyphosate is bad for humans and bad for biodiversity. Affordable and practical alternatives have already been adopted by other councils.
That’s why we’re asking residents to write to Oxford City Council cabinet member for citizen focused services, Cllr Nigel Chapman, and ask him to stop the use of glyphosate by the council.
