Local Green Party Councillors have been found to have the highest attendance records at City Council meetings. Rosie Rawle and Chris Jarvis – both of whom represent wards neighbouring St Clement’s – are the two Councillors who have attended the highest proportion of Council meetings.
Analysis of Oxford City Council data on the proportion of meetings Councillors have attended since they were elected up to 13 March 2024 shows that Rosie Rawle attended 100% of meetings, with Chris Jarvis just behind on 96%.
Despite being the smallest political party on the City Council, four of the seven councillors with the highest attendance are from the Greens.
Councillor Rosie Rawle says “These figures show that when Greens get elected, they are
powerful, hard-working community champions who serve their constituents well. Many local residents have told me that they feel let down by their Labour Councillors”.
Councillor Chris Jarvis add that “A vote for the Green Party on 2 May 2024 will be a vote for a dedicated Councillor who works hard for you and listens to your needs and concerns.”
