Green Councillor leads art workshops for West Oxford Light Festival

Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival, organised by Oxford City Council, took place from the 17th to 19th of November. This celebration of arts, culture and community was made up of a variety of events and workshops in and around the city.

On the Sunday the 19th of November, West Oxford Light Festival was celebrated as a part of Oxford’s larger festival. Green Councillor Lois Muddiman volunteered as the lead artist to run workshops in West Oxford Community Centre, St Frideswide Church and West Oxford Primary School. Together, the community created a magnificent willow lantern in the shape of a train. It was carried through the streets of West Oxford behind the wonderful Sol Samba, who led the procession. It was a truly joyous occasion ✨.
