The Oxford City Green Party Executive Committee is a group of like-minded local residents, committed to improving Oxford’s social and environmental justice.
The committee is elected annually for one-year terms at our Annual General Meeting.
Ines Wilhelm is our local chair, first elected in September 2026. The Chair coordinates and delegates the local party’s activities, connects members, chairs local party meetings, ensures the constitution and safeguarding policies are upheld and facilitates the development of local policy.

James Thornily is our Deputy Chair. The Deputy Chair supports and assists the chair with their activities and takes on delegated responsibilities from the chair.
James is a local campaigner, parent and school governor. He was elected as Lye Valley ward’s first Green councillor in 2026. He is a software engineer for an independent online radio and music platform.
Ezra Rzewski is our Secretary.
The secretary is responsible for the minuting of meetings, providing timely communication of notice to members, acting as the primary point of contact for external communications and updating the constitution when necessary.
The treasurer oversees the finances of the local party, monitoring and recording all income and expenditure and overseeing fundraising efforts.
The membership coordinator welcomes new members to OCGP, links them up with local activities in their areas and addresses enquires from existing or potential members and maintains the membership database.
The Johns are the first point of contact for new volunteers, welcoming them to the team, helping them link up with the wider local party and get plugged into the right project or campaign.
The elections officer coordinates the selection and nomination of Green candidates for local and national elections.
The communications coordinator oversees the management of the internal and external communications of the local party, coordinating the comms working group to ensure effective and impactful communications.
Rosie is a City Councillor for Donnington ward and works in comms and campaigning for a national charity.
The EDI officer works to make Oxford Green Party a more inclusive place, improving the accessibility of our events and meetings, providing training and learning for the local party, organising outreach work to underrepresented groups and coordinating with liberation groups across the Green Party.
The Data Protection Officer ensures good governance of internal data systems and robust storage, protection and oversight of all data handled by the local party.
Non-Executive Coordinators.
The following coordinators sit on the local party committee and attend regular management meetings, but do not have voting rights or bare legal responsibility for the operations of the local party, unlike the executive officers.
The Trade Union Liason Officer attends Oxford Trades Council and facilitates connection and co-operation of Green activity with local trade and renters unions.
The Campaigns Officer supports, connects and encourages green co-operation with local grassroots social and political movements, organising Green presence and support at protests, actions and demos.
The Social Media Officer coordinates activity on, and creates content for OCGP’s social media channels, as well as assisting with design support and other digital/website management for the wider comms team.
Alfie is the Director of Operations, Communications and Fundraising at a local charity and has managed large-scale social media platforms for almost 10 years. They are also a city councillor for Holywell ward.
The Young Greens Officer supports YGs and Student Greens in Oxford, organising regular YG socials and liasing with national and regional Young Greens bodies.
